I don’t usually buy gardening magazines, they always make me long for what I can’t have (acres of garden, polytunnels, fruit trees – all beyond my purse and capabilities, even if we had the room).
But on a quick visit to the supermarket, en route to somewhere else, I spotted a copy of Kitchen Garden magazine – to be honest, I spotted a magazine with a free packet of seeds – and picked it up. It seemed there were two packets of seeds – so I threw it in the trolley and thought no more about it until I got home.
There were TEN packets of seeds included – a total value (according to the price on the packets) of £14.40 – for the price of the magazine at £4.99.
All this, and lots of useful information too. Looks like the Brussels Sprouts are going to be a long-term project!
