Seeds, Glorious Seeds

Or, as I like to call them – more Freebies.*  With packets of seeds costing between £2 and £3 a pack on average, I think it is worthwhile buying magazines that give away seed packs.  You not only get the seeds, you get instructions on sowing and growing them – ideal for beginners.

If I’d bought these seeds, they would have cost at least £10, maybe £12, but I bought a gardening magazine for £7.99 with these included.

If you want a specific variety, then this probably isn’t a good method.  But if, like me, you are just starting out – still experimenting to see what will grow (and what won’t), then this is a good way to do some research.

It means I’ve got enough seeds for the next few years, and some to swap too.
